Three Lightstone Moxy NYC Hotels Recognized Among the Top 20 Hotels in New York City, Alongside AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles, in Condé Nast Traveler’s Annual Awards Honoring the Best in Travel
NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, with Lightstone’s Moxy East Village, Moxy Lower East Side and Moxy Times Square recognized among the Top 20 Hotels in New York City, ranking #12, #13 and #18, respectively. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Lightstone’s Moxy Hotels have been recognized by the publication.

Adding to Lightstone’s portfolio-wide recognition, AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles ranked #18 among the Top 20 Hotels in Los Angeles, making it the only AC Hotel recognized across Condé Nast Traveler’s U.S. and international hotel lists this year.
For the 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, Condé Nast Traveler received more than 798,867 survey responses from readers across the United States, who rated their travel experiences across the globe. The annual awards offer a wide-ranging look at the destinations, properties and travel experiences that resonated most with the publication’s readership. The full list of winners can be found here.
“It is a meaningful honor to have three of our Moxy Hotels recognized among New York City’s most favored hotels, alongside AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles as the only AC Hotel recognized across the publication’s global hotel lists this year,” said Mitchell Hochberg, President of Lightstone. “This recognition speaks to the strength of our brands and, most importantly, the teams behind each property. Across our portfolio, we remain focused on creating hotels that feel authentic to their surroundings, pairing thoughtful design and engaging social spaces with genuine hospitality and an accessible price point.”
Lightstone’s Moxy Hotels serve as vibrant neighborhood hubs, welcoming both guests and locals with distinctive programming, versatile social areas, cleverly conceived guest rooms, and a diverse mix of restaurants and bars, including venues operated by leading hospitality groups such as TAO and Houston Hospitality.
Since introducing the brand to New York City, Moxy Times Square has offered an energetic alternative to the traditional hotel experience, demonstrating that affordability does not require a compromise on style or comfort. Building on Moxy’s ethos of immersing guests in the character of their surroundings, Moxy East Village draws inspiration from a neighborhood where rock ‘n’ roll, renegade art, LGBTQ+ activism and generations of immigrants converged to shape American counterculture. More recently, Moxy Lower East Side has further evolved Lightstone’s approach to design, weaving the neighborhood’s rich history as a crossroads of entertainment and culture into the hotel experience and establishing itself as a defining destination within the community.
On the West Coast, AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles blends the brand’s timeless Spanish heritage with DTLA’s artistic soul, pairing elegant interiors with serene guest rooms and rooftop dining to create a refined retreat for thinkers and doers.
The 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards are published on Condé Nast Traveler’s website at http://www.cntraveler.com/rca and celebrated in the November issue.
