NEW YORK, Nov. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Recruitics, the talent acquisition platform for companies where hiring never stops, today announced that Austin Anderson, Chief Technology Officer of Recruitics, has been appointed to the Agentic AI Foundation’s (AAIF) Applied Industries Committee (AIC), where he will lead a new Jobs and Hiring Special Interest Group. In the role, Anderson will drive discussion and collaboration within AAIF on AI in HR, recruitment, and talent acquisition.
The appointment comes as Recruitics joins AAIF as a Silver Member. Hosted by the Linux Foundation, AAIF is the neutral home for open standards, protocols, and infrastructure in agentic AI. The move follows Recruitics’ commitment to open standards through the launch of the Open Job Context Protocol (OJCP), an open, vendor-neutral specification for how job data is structured for AI agents. The AAIF gives this important work a wider remit for future collaboration.
The AIC brings together leaders across sectors to assess how industries apply agentic technologies, where they face regulatory and adoption challenges, and where they need standards and best practices, with Microsoft’s Andrew Nolan serving as chair. The Jobs and Hiring Special Interest Group will be a dedicated effort led by Anderson, focused on the needs of the hiring ecosystem and will explore how agentic technologies are reshaping the hiring process.
“A standard only matters if the people who have to implement it help write it,” Anderson said. “This group puts employers, platforms, and agent developers at the same table while the details are still open, including job discovery, applications, identity and authorization. Much of this work comes down to how job data is structured and how consent and verification are handled, which is what makes it important to get right early.”
“Agentic AI will reach every industry, and the ones that take part early will have a say in how it works,” said Nolan. “Hiring touches nearly every company and every person who works, which makes it a test of whether these standards hold up in practice. Recruitics has already brought an industry together around agentic AI, and that is the experience this work needs.”
AI agents are now a routine part of how people look for work. They search postings, compare roles, and submit applications on a candidate’s behalf. Employers are adapting on the other side of the funnel. What does not exist yet is an agreed way for the two sides to work together. Those decisions are being made now in technology forums where talent acquisition has rarely been represented.
“For years, the industry added technology to a process designed for paper applications,” said Adam Stafford, Chief Executive Officer of Recruitics. “What is being decided at the AAIF is bigger than hiring. It is how agents will operate across the internet, and every industry that sits it out will inherit someone else’s choices. We want hiring and talent acquisition at the table while those decisions are being made.”
By joining AAIF as a Silver Member, Recruitics is building on its leadership in open standards for AI-powered hiring. Following the launch of OJCP and its own product innovations, such as AdaptiveApply™ integration with ID.me and MakiPeople, the company will help advance industry-wide frameworks that support operability and verification across the hiring ecosystem.
